Water Subscription Operations
Application guide page explaining required documents and process steps for water subscription transactions.
WHAT ARE THE DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR NEW SUBSCRIPTION PROCEDURES?
- Building permit (residence permit) and photocopy,
- Original and photocopy of the numbering sketch or document,
- Deed and identity document and photocopy,
- Water and channel participation certificate is required.
Subscriber fee, distance of the water to be connected to the network, diameter etc. It is determined by looking at its features. Subscribers will obtain the water meter to be connected from the market in accordance with the standards accepted by the municipality.
Water is connected as soon as possible after subscribing.
HOW TO CHANGE DEFECTIVE METERS?
In case of subscribers' written applications to the municipalities, a meter replacement bulletin is issued. The defective counter is replaced. For periods when the meter does not consume, the amount of payment is determined by making backward comparison accruals.
WHERE AND HOW TO APPLY IF THE INVOICE IS HIGH?
First, the application is made to the municipality. Then the petition issued by the municipality for the control of the meter is sent to the Industry and Trade Directorate. The subscriber, whose invoice objection has been sent to the Industry and Trade Directorate, may request to stop the payment until the transaction is concluded. If the subscriber whose counter is broken as a result of the check has paid the invoice amount before the objection, the amount paid by him is either recorded as "subscriber receivable" or automatically deducted from his payments or paid in cash, depending on the request of the subscriber.
WHAT TO DO FOR THE TEMPORARY CLOSING PROCESS?
Temporary closure can be made for the residence or workplace that will not be used for a certain period of time. There should be no debt on that subscription to make this process happen. In this case, the subscriber service makes a temporary shutdown without disconnecting the meter. Consumption invoice is not issued until the end of the temporary period.
WHAT CAN BE DONE FOR CANCELLATION OF SUBSCRIPTION?
When canceling the subscription, the municipality must be applied with a petition. All retrospective debts, if any, must be paid. After the counter dismantling is done, the subscriber guarantee is returned and the transaction is completed.
WHAT CAN BE DONE FOR NAME CHANGE?
A petition, ID copy, title deed or residence document must be applied to the Municipality to which the subscribers are affiliated. After the accrual and collection debts are paid, a subscription agreement can be issued to the new name requested by obtaining a collateral and transaction fee.
HOW IS WATER OPENING PROCEDURED?
When it is requested to re-connect the meter, which is dismantled or cut by a petition, the application will be made and water opening will be done. When the subscriber whose meter is dismantled or whose water is cut due to his debt, the meter is re-inserted and the water is turned on when the payment is made.
WHAT SHOULD BE DONE TO SWITCH FROM MULTIPLE METERS TO ONE?
Application is made with the decision of the general assembly of the apartment when it is desired to disassemble the meters belonging to each apartment and use common water with the booster and continue the subscription from a single meter.
WHAT SHOULD BE DONE TO SWITCH FROM A SINGLE METER TO MORE COUNTERS?
In cases where each apartment wants to subscribe individually in places that use common water from a booster with a single meter, an application is made to the municipality after the decision taken at the general assembly of the apartment.
WHAT SHOULD BE DONE TO USE WELL WATER?
In cases where well water is used, it is mandatory to apply to the municipality and sign the "Waste Water Subscription" contract. Subscription fee is added to the first consumption bill after the contract is signed and the meter is connected.
